15 Years in 15 Days: Day 13

On Day 13, OWC starts the day by handing the mic to Quinn. Quinn was one of the co-founders of the Kenya Read project alongside Paige when they were in 8th grade. Quinn wants to thank everyone for their support and asks for one final push to get over the finish line. After your incredible contributions this week, OWC is now just $289 away from completing Kenya Read's $14,000 project to fund the construction of a library for the Twins Bright school in Kenya. We would be honored to have your support!

After Quinn’s video, OWC received an influx of donations totalling $447 in over 7 hours. This incredible outpouring of financial support allowed Kenya Read to OFFICIALLY reach their $14,000 goal. We at OWC could not be prouder of the students who led this effort. To Paige, Quinn, Ella, Olivia, Mason, Reagan, and Malichi, this does not happen without you!

Update: It feels right that after Kenya Read hit their $14,000 fundraising goal to now hand the mic back to Paige. In this video, Paige talks about how she started with the Kenya Read Project and the impact that volunteering on an effort like this had on her as a person. Incredible job, Kenya Read team!
