15 Years in 15 Days: Day 8

Day 8 of OWC's 15 Years in 15 Days campaign takes us to 2020, our 10 year anniversary. This year was admittedly a difficult one for OWC. We had 3 major initiatives planned with our partnered communities to start the year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all 3 were cancelled.

Professional filmmaker Shawn Gormley put together this video for our 10 year anniversary at the end of 2020. This video features one of our favorite segments ever recorded for OWC, where we asked students from the Tri Ka school about their dreams during our 2019 trip to Nepal.

This response to this video revitalized us at OWC. We relaunched one of our paused fundraising initiatives and in 2021 funded the construction of new classrooms. Our 10 year anniversary was also a time for reflection for our organization; OWC conducted a decade long audit of our operations and found that 96% of all donations of our cause have gone directly to our partnered communities. As we now close in on our 15 year anniversary, your donation can make just as much of an impact.
