Introducing Sarita: OWC's Consultant for Women's Health Intiatives.

We are so proud to introduce Open World Cause’s Consultant for Women’s Health & Educational Initiatives, Sarita Timalsina. In September 2019, Sarita attended the International Youth Day 2019: Engaging Youth to Advance Sustainable Cities and Communities at the United Nations headquarters in New York City! Sarita met professionals from all over the world and talked about her efforts to help OWC establish a recurring Days for Girls International program in the Dang district in Nepal. Sarita was instrumental to the success of TriKa and OWC’s DaysforGirls program in our July 2019 travels to Nepal. Sarita coordinated with local contacts and Open World Cause, and helped Headmistress Sudha Panthy and Professor Collum launch the Days4Girls Educational Day on July 6th, 2019 in Dang, Nepal.

Sarita was able to visit Tri Ka school in January 2020 and visit with the teachers, parents and students at the school. Sarita spoke at the school about how OWC could start long term initiatives that best served the needs of the community. We are so happy about today and are so excited about the future of our partnership with the Narayanpur community!
