Hutch News: Quake in Nepal sends shock waves felt back in Kansas

There were about three hours of panic for a couple of Kansas college students Saturday morning as they anxiously awaited news from a friend in Nepal.

Fortunately for them, the power of the Internet came through.

Govinda Panthy, a schoolteacher in rural Nepal, emailed Connor Janzen and Ben Honeycutt, University of Kansas students from Buhler and Inman, to let them know he had survived the earthquake.
